A Suspect as the Zodiac - Mr. Allen

The day before , it had been , that the Vallejo Police had reported a document had been prepared and filed on the muncipal court clerk’s office.  By then the press had begun to realize who had perished.

Indeed none other than Erin Hallisy had reported in the San Francisco Chronicle that the “Man once suspected of being the “Zodiac Killer”  who taunts police and terrorized Northern California with threats of murder had died previously in Vallejo of a massive heart attack at the ripe age of 58.

It had occured in 1971 attention had focused on Arthur Leigh Allen , when it came to be and occured that friends as well as relatives told police that this person that they knew - Mr. Allen , was behaving erratically and even emotionally .  They feared that perhaps he might be the sadistic killer himself who had killed over the course of his “career”  at least six people and perhaps as many as even 37 between the years of 1966 and 1974.

In his book “Zodiac” , former Chronicle editor and cartoonist Robert Graysmith had described Allen at that time inder a fictious name as having the “gut-feeling choice of most detectives” for the Zodiac killer.

Allen had even gone so far as reportedly told some people confidentially that he was certain that this individual , Mr. Allen , was none other than the Zodiac killer himself in the flesh.
